This is a simple recipe for nuggets that is always a hit. Great for kids, addictive for adults.
- 16 oz tofu, super firm ,cubed
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- .5 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp agave
- 1 tsp worcestershire
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp poultry seasons
-
Heat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.
-
Drain and press the tofu. The firmer the tofu the better. I use the super dence from Trader Joe's and I'll never look back!
-
Whisk all the wet ingredients together in a large bowl. Toss the tofu in and get them all covered.
-
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl with a cover. Add the tofu and lightly shake to coat all the nugs.
-
Dump the nuggets out onto the baking sheet and move them so they aren't overlapping.
-
Cook nuggets for 20 minutes. Turn oven off and leave them in there for another 10-20. This is what gets them extra crispy!
-
Serve with dips, or toss with buffalo/barbeque sauce. Whatever you want, these nuggets are versatile!
