A simple base recipe for steak tips. Great to add to beef recipes. Apologies for the vagueness, but really everything is to taste. Can’t settle on the measurements. I really don’t think you can mess this one up. Use spices that fit into the recipe you’re making. Enjoy!

Steak Tips

Seitan
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup vital wheat gluten
- 1 cup cold water
- steak sauce
- worcestershire
Beef Broth
- 2 c water
- 2 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp worcestershire
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
Seasons to Taste
- paprika
- black pepper
- salt
- garlic
- Onion
- corriander
- sugar
- dill
- rosemary
- thyme
- mustard
- red pepper
Instructions

Mix gluten and any seasons you desire. Add some steak sauce and Worcestershire to your water and mix together.

Knead dough for about 5 minutes, let rest for another 5.

In the meantime get your broth going to a boil in a large saucepan, adding enough water so you will cover most of your meat.

Tear off small chunks of your loaf and toss into your simmering broth. Simmer for about 1 hour until it absorbs all the juices.
