A mildly spiced couscous to enjoy in the morning. Quick, tasty, and easy! Perfect for the AM.
- 1 cup couscous
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 apple diced I cut some of the skin off, no need for perfection though
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon plus more to serve
- dash allspice
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup warm almond milk
- 2-4 tbsp maple syrup
Mix dry couscous, raisins, apple, and spices in a large bowl.
Pour in boiling water, cover, and let sit for at least 5 minutes.
Mix milk and maple and heat until warm. (optional)
Stir couscous and add milk mixture.
Divide into 4 bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
