A mildly spiced couscous to enjoy in the morning.  Quick, tasty, and easy! Perfect for the AM.

  • 1 cup couscous
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 apple diced I cut some of the skin off, no need for perfection though
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon plus more to serve
  • dash allspice
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup warm almond milk
  • 2-4 tbsp maple syrup
  1. Mix dry couscous, raisins, apple, and spices in a large bowl. 

  2. Pour in boiling water, cover, and let sit for at least 5 minutes.

  3. Mix milk and maple and heat until warm.  (optional) 

  4. Stir couscous and add milk mixture.

  5. Divide into 4 bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
